Frogatto 1.0.3 is released and available on the Download page for Mac and Windows (and whatever you can compile it on). This is a very minor update, but important nonetheless. It fixes a bug in 1.0.2 which caused the game to crash any time you got a partial heart capsule (thanks to Lila for reporting it). Since the bug was noticed before Apple approved 1.0.2 for iPhone, the iPhone version will skip directly to 1.0.3.
Enjoy!
How long does Apple take to approve the game??
Oh yeah, I wanted to let you know that this game is great, I’ve played the initial stable release on my computer months ago and it was simply amazing.
The fact that you improve still improve it with bugfixes and new content is exceptional these days.
I finished the game and I loved it but it ended so quickly, are you’s making more to it now? Because there’s so much more of the map left over. It was awesome I’d love to play it again 🙂
@Marco: Apple takes usually 1-2 weeks to approve apps. And thanks for the feedback!
@Sarina: Glad you liked it! We’re adding more, but the goal right now is to first make the existing content more interesting; more unique enemies in the forest, for instance. There’s also a bunch of iOS improvements planned/in progress.
FreeBSD port of Frogatto was just updated to version 1.0.3. You can probably mention that FreeBSD is also supported platform (and simple pkg_add(1) required to install it on user’s system) for this great game! Thanks.
Forgot the helper link: http://www.freshports.org/games/frogatto
I made a package for Ubuntu :
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:littel-jo/frogatto
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
Cheers!
I had 4 or 5 hearts before the upgrade, but now Frogatto has only 3 hearts, like at the beginning 🙁
Great game though 🙂
If you’re upgrading from 1.0.0 (and maybe .1, as well), we switched to half-hearts. Essentially, you still have the same number, because each heart represents 2 hp, internally now. Most hits only deplete 1/2 a heart, now.
Can’t start the game!
“This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.”
Windows XP SP3.
I added msvcp90.dll (Frogatto depending of this missed DLL, as says PE Explorer) to Frogatto folder, but it doesn’t work anyway.
I have been using “Frogatto” since 1.0..
just fine on “Snow Leopard” until 1.0.3!
Both “Crevice house”/”Bridge”/”Stonebridge”/”Wandering Passage”..
Crashed nearly every time…..
