Frogatto is only $0.99 in the App Store for 3 days! Now that 1.0.1 is out, and all significant technical problems should be fixed, we’re really trying to get the word out!
The sale ends when Apple decides it’s the 11th (which might be at about 11PM EST on the 10th).
I Have not been able to get past the first 10 seconds of starting the game. Whenever I click the icon, “Frogatto” appears on a black screen, the music starts playing but nothing happens. After about 10 seconds the game just stops and I get kicked back to the home screen 🙁 I tried it on my iPhone 3GS ios 3.1.2 but I had this problem, and recently updated to 4.0.1 but the problem persists. I tried reinstalling and rebooting but no luck. I bought the game when it first appeared in the App store, but have not been able to play since! 🙁
The only other similar report I’ve heard was that the jailbroken app “qTweeter” causes that. If it’s not that, then I have no idea. :-/
Ah it seems qTweeter was somehow making frogatto crash like you said.. Will there be some kind of fix?
this game is so cool but stil having a little problem with the controls why not make them similair to the game called soosiz if you do this game wiil have perfect controls plz change 🙂
I agree soozis has the best iPhone platforming controls. But I do not have any problems with the controls now.
But then again, from what I’ve seen of that soozis game, it only has one action button and two directions in the d-pad. Well, one thing that soozis’s controls have that Frogatto might benefit is the fact that left and right are adjacent to each other, which I’d guess allows for more precise landing… I don’t have iAnything, though, so am I making any sense? 😉
please developers change the controls like soosiz this will make this app a whole lot better and ther will be no more complaints about the controls I am even willing to pay for this as downloadable content plz developers plz change. 🙂
George: Maybe. I guess this is why Apple doesn’t like jailbreaking though, eh? If you know how to get a crash report, that’d help.
The thing about Soosiz is that, like marcavis said, it has fewer controls than Frogatto. Frogatto was originally designed for the computer, where having that many controls is no problem, since it’s easy to use different fingers. We only started working on the iPhone version after 1.5 years of developing it for computer, and we already had the first world mostly done.
Reducing the number of controls now would significantly change the gameplay. We may do it, but we’re still thinking about whether there’s a good way to make such a change. Most people DO seem to like the controls now.
well the controls are not bad but they are not that good ether maybe its a good idea to make different to make different controls for people and by the way i am stuck in the fan house on the iphone version of the game that are you supposed to do there i hit the swiches but i dont get it im stuck here can anyone plz help me? 🙂
never mind i passed the fan house just plz add some new controls because i have trouble in the parts where its full of those blocks that fall down when u step on them make better controls because the controls are so packed that i alot of times accidently while in the air i pressed the bottom button and did the spin and accidently broke the block and fell down plz change. 🙂
